✨ Tattoo Preparation Guide ✨

What to know before getting tattooed

Getting a tattoo is exciting, but preparation is key to a smooth experience and beautiful healing. Here’s how to get ready:

1. Before Your Appointment:

  • Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water 24–48 hours before your session. Hydrated skin takes ink better and heals faster.
  • Moisturize the area daily
Use a fragrance-free lotion the week leading up to your appointment (but skip the lotion the day of).
  • Get a good night’s sleep
Rested bodies handle pain better and stay calmer.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine & blood thinners
At least 24 hours before. These can thin your blood and make you more sensitive.
  • Eat a full meal before your session
Low blood sugar = higher sensitivity and risk of feeling faint. Bring a snack for longer sessions.

2. What to Wear & Bring:

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing
Choose something that gives access to the area being tattooed, and that you don’t mind getting stained.
  • Bring water and snacks
Especially for sessions longer than an hour.
  • Bring headphones or something to entertain you
This helps pass the time and keeps your body relaxed.

3. Please Avoid:

  • Tanning or sunburns on the area
  • Shaving right before your appointment
I’ll take care of it safely for you
  • Heavy workouts the day of
  • Showing up under the influence
    I legally can’t tattoo you
